Fair Housing Notice
Villani Homes and Jerry Villani, Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker with Coldwell Banker Realty, support equal housing opportunity for all.
Federal, state, and local fair housing laws protect individuals from housing discrimination. It is unlawful to discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, familial status, marital status, military status, source of income, or status as a victim of domestic violence, and any other class protected by applicable law.
Your rights
These protections apply to the sale, rental, and financing of housing. No one may be refused services, steered toward or away from neighborhoods, quoted different terms, or otherwise treated differently because of membership in a protected class.
The New York State Housing and Anti-Discrimination Disclosure and the official New York State Fair Housing Notice are provided to all prospective buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants. The official notice and complaint resources are available from the New York Department of State Fair Housing Resources page.
Complaints
If you believe you have been the victim of housing discrimination, you may file a complaint with the New York State Division of Human Rights at 1-888-392-3644 or the New York Department of State, Division of Licensing Services.
